Kong Quote:
Could the ancient astronaut theory hold true?
That thousands of years ago celestial vistors came to our planet in search of materials needed for their very survival – and in realizing the difficulties in extracting these materials from the ground, developed modern man to essentially do the hard work for them? https://forexkong.com/2012/11/08/mining-could-it-be-in-our-genes/
This would certainly save me the trouble of explaining where Gold fits in to the “macro” eh? Eh?
In “attempting” to keep these posts “on Earth” – so far I’ve managed to reduce humanity to tiny insignificant biological entities, devouring resources, and essentially destroying all other known elements of life – as fast as “humanly” possible.
Life has existed on Earth for more than 3.5 billion years, yet in only the last 150 – we’ve pretty much managed to eradicate most of it. Could this essentially be the consequence of an innate “human desire” to find and possess Gold?
Pulling human beings out of the equation, biology on Earth takes care of itself with “absolute perfection”. Every creature there for a reason as it benefits another. Every process a part of something larger, and every system a part of something smaller. All stacked on top of itself to allow for everything – and I do mean everything to exist as it “should”…as a perfect part of something else.
If there was one thing on Earth that makes absolutely no sense at all…………….wouldn’t it be us?
Thanks Kong, this is so much fun!
It reminds me of my days in college when weed was the big, new thing and not PCs and PDAs.
>>Could the ancient astronaut theory hold true?
Absolutely. I think more likely true than not. If stars outnumber sands on the beaches, how many planets orbit those stars?!
Leonard Susskind, a co-creator of string theory, posited that everything fits into the vast realm of probabilities and that even includes multi-verses among a zillion other fantastic things. Life on other planets is a sure thing in that context.
You mentioned some other things where I would offer a contrary opinion but I already blab too much. I see that my comments have been appearing too often. I could easily become a distraction from your good work.
Carry on Professor Kong!
More fun for me as well Dev……as I spend a pile of my free time werkin on things that likely won’t see the light of day until I’m long passed.
Contrary opinions always welcome – just not sure I’ll be much of a “debate partner”.
I love Susskind and I love physics.
The entire point of the series. Challenging readers to at least “consider” that “all is not what it appears”.
God help me if only the debate of our financial markets.
How can one even communicate with their head buried that deep in the sand?
Actually, I think of the world as a fractal. The energy that we call an “atom” with it’s electrons function similarly to a solar system with it’s planets, or earth with it’s one single electron (moon). The electron is more complicated than just a “ball” of energy, but when isolated, it takes the most efficient space (a sphere).
Electrons are conscious enough not to collide into each other. So all are conscious, our cells are. You could one by one remove every cell in your body and remove another and put it back, but ultimately you would still be conscious. It is because the human which is made up of so many different parts is actually not an individual, but a collection of many “individual” parts working collectively. But just as you have the cells operating independently but in unison and in spirit or coordination and harmony with each other, so too can you have humans be a part of a larger entity. The only problem is, sometimes you might have on the micro level, an “autoimmune disorder” the body treats it’s own kind, it’s own cells as an “alien” or foreign pathogen. The cells become isolated from the system, cease coorporation and harmony and become very chaotic and greedy, looking solely after it’s own means but on a different frequency.
This I believe is the state of humans, if anything and explains why every manifestation or perception of reality we think we know, is really just an illusion of a dissassociated “collective body. It can be healed, just as a cancerous body can go into remission. Any “junk/alien” DNA is merely the different frequency that causes both humans and the planet to see each other as “independent” and foreign to love and spirit.
My takeaway, if there is any truth to it all, it is because the pathogen (junk DNA) binded itself with the healthy creature (ancient humans), and changed the composition of man, but ultimately that does not prevent us from overcoming it and becoming “connected” once again. But it is merely a scalar manifestation on a “macro” level of what is going on in the atoms as well as the cosmos. So the question is, how do we be part of the solution and “heal”?
This is better explained and understood than I in youtube video series that goes far more in depth. “JonathanLives” or you can look up “jonathan adampants” on google and find the audio.
Wow man….impressive post.
I was kind hoping that ” we are as big as we are small” would kind of sum it up….but again – wow……..impressive.
I pose the question – why you consider we “need to heal and become part of the solution” ? – does a snake not do – what a snake does? Does it “want” to change?
Secret and Kong,
Way cool.
Agree about fractals. Mandelbrot and many others showed that they are the basic design of many or most things in the physical realm from quant to cosmo.
Agree about the sum of parts and perceptions. We only “perceive” a tiny portion of the spectrum. That extremely limited perspective skews everything beyond us. Think what the world looks like to a fish in the bowl.
Agree about frequencies. Susskind and others have said that at the absolute core level everything is made from energy vibrations. Our differentiation of energy and matter is simply the frequency of the vibes. The most tangible proof that I know about are the “observer participation” experiments done years ago.
Healing and the snake. I agree the snake is not motivated to change. It is only “automatically” motivated to seek pleasure (food, water, etc) and avoid pain (not get eaten) so it can make more babies. I think it takes more gray matter to seek more beyond those things and actually make choices.
The instincts that promote survival have recently been shown to pass to the offspring via the parent’s DNA. WOW.
The critter keeps doing, and passes on, the automatic stuff that enabled it to make it thus far. Beneficial mutations are not by design. Rather, they are fortunate accidents that improve the critter’s ability to keep on keepin’ on. That goes to the evolutionary imperative to out-procreate the competition. The critter doesn’t need to be the baddest mofo in the jungle, sorry Kong. It just has to spawn more off spring so the species will survive the forces against it. That’s what Darwin meant by survival of the fittest.
Whoa, lots of stuff here. We don’t live or die by one cell because of redundancy. That’s why Kong’s ants do so well.
I wonder if “consciousness” is an apt description for behaviors at the sub-atom level. The things that occur at the sub-atom level are astounding. Perhaps those attributes are the unconscious result of a form of sub-atom evolution. Maybe that is why dark matter and dark energy make up most of our universe.
Please invite me to the next Kong Konvention. I’m thinking kegs of beer, jugs of mescal and bikini hotties.
Lets “bring er on back to Earth boys!”
Without question – we will find answers to all kinds of perplexing questions soon enough out at C.E.R.N. Dark energy / matter of particular interest to Kong as I can’t get this spaceship to go fast enough without – regardless…….a blog to maintain in the meantime.
An interesting angle as far as “gold goes” as well the continued challenge of “looking outside our comfort zones”.
So far I’ve got the “macro view” looking at humans, gold – next fiat currency, commodities, governments ( government debt / bonds ), maybe throw in a blurb on “labor” and I won’t end up looking like a complete nutbar!
If I can work in a couple hundred pages on black holes well……we’ll see.
wow .. i could see this ‘macro things’ beyond my understanding. I think the question (Kong title) is about being macro trader at start then go down to micro then .. go down to nano level. So .. to connect all the dot (different kind of information ) that seem fall a part to integrates it as a whole .. and we then can deduce probable outcome of chosen currency direction. Something like analyzing and solving ‘forex puzzle’ daily. Just my guess …..
I’m taking this a “touch” further than anyone really needs to know / debate – as it crosses over into other areas of interest.
You’ve got it 100% though, in looking to get a handle on the “macro” and working your way smaller and smaller.
I think the next few posts will be more helpful as we’ll have a quick look at “fiat currency” as well commodities/bonds as I’ve outlined a couple times in the past. As well – a look at things “geographically/culturally” and how these things influence markets.
Its summer….and I think alot of people are outside enjoying themselves – why not have a little fun here too?
Market is fractal .. uhm .. not know what its mean.
Market constantly on probability flux … what is that ?
We not need to predict, but gaming most probable scenario while looking forward … said expert … why i should care
Never loose the forest … yes
Volatility comes in cluster … yup … my head spin
ALL above seem the right knowledge for currency trader, but most info on the net never clarify honestly. Or probably my limited understanding get so deep inside unconsciously. Kong .. how macro can I go ?
I can see you are really working at this – great job. Stay with it, and you are going to do great.
There is a massive area of trading that “is very rarely discussed” that being the “psychology of trading”. I could literally start an entirely new blog on this topic alone. This is the actual reason I started blogging here at Forexkong in the first place, as the information is rarely from a “real person” with “real life experience”.
The classic battle of “fear and greed”….is one of the most difficult challenges a person can ever face – let alone do it time and time again day after day.
Once you conquer this – you start to see your account grow.
i smell .. that to really grow our account, the step is to be a ‘monk’ first , then learn what the risk is, then and after then we learn about the market. The information out there make it backward. No wonder i always look at micro level and loose my money at end. Always interesting to see you know when to take counter trade against macro and to know how best to get answer : is it a TURN or is it a DIP ? this wonderful if one know this in real time because i get difficulty to filter much information out there. Waiting your Kong technology here. and i wonder someday you send me some margarita, Nkhi k’a ninashitechino
Hi timfrec,
>>No wonder i always look at micro level and loose my money at end.
I think that is correct. Using only micro or only macro increases risk and reduces probabilities.
I use the same process that is used in creating new designs for most new things: FIRST define the mission (what you want the end product to be). THEN you go to the drawing board and use whatever existing info can help and whatever new ideas you have. The final mix of old and new should be the best way possible to do the mission (make the new product).
I think the best mix of macro & micro depends on your trading time horizon. A very short term trader is mostly, but not all, micro. A longer term trader is mostly, but not all, macro.
Kong, what do you think?
I think your design process is right on the money. I think the need for a final mix of “old and new” is also excellent.
I don’t believe it’s possible to make a living / career trading currencies with only a short term view, or even a medium term view (for that matter) as you will lack the confidence / conviction / power (which comes from knowledge) needed to weather short term volatility.
Without conviction I see it more like gambling, as I have tested / built / experimented with every known short term signal/alert/strategy known to man – and even as an extremely technical / mathematical / puzzle minded individual……to date I’ve never found anything that works consistantly over time – short of development of the Kongdictor (which is a purely priced based short term system kicking in only “after” long term criteria has been met).
It will always be a matter of balance and finding what works for a given individual.
Thanks Kong.
I think your comments indicate why many of us are waiting for you to show the ratio of macro:micro for each time horizon.
They are probably day-trade, swing-trade and long term?
There is also a lot of interest in your Kongdicator.
Sorry. I meant show us YOUR ratios (or mix) of mic:mac.
same with me .. devilyell. Waiting for del Carmen techy multi time frame intregated with fundamental meter and add that with intra & intermarket correlation to deduce better ratio on long-term – mid-term and short-term for choosen currency direction. Mix max between old and new to get final end product as you said. So, we can make better ‘judgment’ when to take counter trade against macro and to have flow with price wave more profitably. If TLT lead SP500, and gold/silver lead 10 Yr Treasury and currency lead commodity, the question is who lead currency. I guess that the best way to getting ahead of curve is to understand USD index first a.k.a ‘what the Fed and Kong thinking now and then and what their most likely decision and reaction on any event ahead’, because the Fed and Kong brigade a.k.a BIG BOY is the center of money flow. Ehmm.. i suspect that this man reside on Playa del Carmen probably ever work on BIS and IMF .. not sure.
Whats your opinion devilyell ? is USDX is leading indicator for ALL market ?
You guys are BOTH killing me, and the back n fourth/chatter is fantastic.
I hope to answer / shed “some light” on much of what you’ve outlined here Timfrec, as you’ve again nailed it.
Who lead currency? Considering we are sitting smack dab in the middle of an all out “currency war” this is exactly the question to be asking.
Im on it here today guys, and will be here thru the weekend.
I’m rolling on the floor laughing timfrec!!!!!
I feel your pain. That’s why I drink. That’s why I trade so small.
I’m gonna tip one for you right now. Cheers bro!
